29th May 2013 – Oesophageal and Stomach Cancers 101
GUEST SPEAKER: Andrew Kneebone ( A/Prof Radiation Oncology, RNSH)
Dr Kneebone will discuss the “nuts and bolts” of these two cancers including the nature of them, why particular tests are done, the different treatment regimes, clinical trials, outcomes and prognosis for oesophageal and stomach cancers, improvements over time with these cancers and living with oesophageal and stomach cancers. There will also be an opportunity for question time with Dr Kneebone.
This session would benefit people who currently have a diagnosis of oesophageal or stomach cancer, including metastatic disease, those in remission as well as family and friends.
